Carowinds and Dollywood Plan for Reopening

The COVID-19 pandemic put the brakes on theme parks last summer, but, this year, Carowinds and Dollywood will be back in business.

Carowinds announced it will reopen May 22 and Dollywood plans to open for its new season on March 13.

Carowinds, just south of Charlotte, plans to open with limited capacity to keep people at a safe distance. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and all guests 2 and older will be required to wear a mask.

Dollywood guests will also be subject to safety protocols, including temperature checks, social distancing and required face coverings.

The theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, will be holding a series of hiring events, starting Saturday and continuing throughout February. For more information about positions, please click here.
